1 Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Morphea:
- Account Information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier, name (if provided), and email (if provided). If you continue without an account, we create an anonymous identifier.
- Dream Entries: The dream content, titles, emotions, vividness ratings, and recurring dream flags you enter.
- AI Interpretations: Dream interpretations generated by the AI based on your entries.
- Usage Data: Daily usage counts (number of dreams and interpretations per day) for enforcing usage limits.
- Subscription Data: Subscription status, transaction identifiers, and trial start dates for managing your premium access.
- App Preferences: Notification settings, language preference, and onboarding completion status.
2 How We Use Your Information
- To provide and maintain the dream journal and AI interpretation features.
- To manage your subscription and trial period.
- To enforce daily usage limits.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To send you optional dream reminder notifications (only if you enable them).
3 AI Processing
Your dream content is sent to Google's Gemini API through our secure Cloud Functions for AI-powered interpretation. Dream content is processed in real time and is not stored by the AI provider for training purposes. We do not use your dreams to train any AI models.
4 Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Firestore) with the following protections:
- All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
- Firebase Security Rules ensure that only you can access your own data.
- Firebase App Check protects our backend from unauthorized access.
- API keys are stored in Google Cloud Secret Manager, never in the app.
5 Data Sharing
We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal data to third parties, except:
- Google Firebase: For data storage, authentication, and cloud functions (as a data processor).
- Google Gemini API: Dream content is sent for AI interpretation only.
- Apple: For Sign in with Apple authentication and subscription management.
- Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect our rights.
6 Data Retention
Your data is retained as long as your account exists. When you delete your account through the app's Settings, all associated data (dreams, interpretations, usage data, subscription records, and profile information) is permanently deleted from our servers.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data at any time through the app.
- Export your dreams using the export feature (available to premium subscribers).
- Delete your account and all associated data from Settings.
- Withdraw consent by discontinuing use of the app.
8 Children's Privacy
Morphea is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
9 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
